Questions you might have
Honest answers about what Qareeb is now, and what it’s becoming.
What is Qareeb?
Qareeb is a free, values-aligned network where Muslims can find each other – by city, by industry, and across the globe. It starts with profiles, people, orgs, and events, and will grow into tools for hiring, verified businesses, and warm introductions.
Is Qareeb free?
Yes. Joining as an early member is free. As the network grows, we may introduce paid features for businesses and advanced tools, but the basic ability to be found and connect will stay free.
Is this a job board?
Not right now. Qareeb is first a people and community graph. Jobs and hiring tools will come later, once there’s a real network to power them.
Is this just another Muslim social app?
No. Qareeb is built around profiles, connections, and orgs – closer to a professional graph than a content feed. We care more about who you connect with than how much you post.
Who is Qareeb for?
For Muslims who want to show up fully in their professional and community lives, for orgs that serve Muslims, and eventually for businesses and teams that want to hire and partner in a values-aligned way.
Where is Qareeb available?
We’re starting globally from day one. You can join from anywhere and still find people by city, region, and industry. Over time we’ll highlight cities with especially active communities.
Why should I join now instead of waiting?
Early members get to shape how Qareeb works. Your feedback will directly influence features like hiring, verified businesses, and intros—and your profile will already be there when everyone else shows up.
How will Qareeb make money in the future?
We plan to keep core profiles and connections free. Revenue will likely come from tools for businesses, hiring, and advanced org features – but we’ll share plans early and shape them with the community.
How do you handle safety and moderation?
We’ll start small and human-reviewed, with clear community guidelines and reporting tools. As we grow, we’ll combine human moderation with smart tooling, always with a bias toward protecting members and orgs from abuse and spam.
